九州大学IMIの主催により、2016年11月11-13日、福岡にて、
コンピューターグラフィックスと数学に関する国際研究集会を開催します。
この集会では、contributed talk session のための、論文を募集しております。
投稿の〆切を７月８日(金) まで延長しましたのでお知らせします。

主に以下のトピックスに関係のあるものを歓迎しますが、参加者の興味に合いそうなものであれば分野は問いません。
キーワード：微分幾何学、離散幾何学、トポロジー、流体、物理シミュレーション、可視化、グラフィックス、
　　　　　　コンピュータービジョン、ヒューマンインターフェース、マルチメディア
論文は peer review され、MI Lecture Note series から出版されます。
また特に優れた論文は、会期後に改訂頂いて、Springer-Japan から MEIS Book series の１冊として出版されます。
多くの投稿をお待ちしております。

MEIS2016: Mathematical Progress in Expressive Image Synthesis

The aim of this international symposium is to provoke interaction between researchers from two disciplines: Computer Graphics and Mathematics. The MEIS2016 is the fourth in the series of the annual symposium commenced as MEIS2013.
In recent years, advanced mathematical theories have been utilized in CG and have enabled richer visual expression. In turn, problems in CG have been one of the driving forces for
the emerging fields in mathematics such as discrete differential geometry. This three-day meeting will provide a unique venue for the both community to realize and discuss problems and possibility for new interdisciplinary research projects through the invited talks and the peer-reviewed presentations.

We welcome original research papers or surveys from academia/industries. The papers relevant to the interaction between mathematics and CG would be desired, but not mandatory. Any topic that the authors believe attracts the attendees of MEIS2016 is appreciated. In addition we’ll be grateful to have case-study papers from industry, which describe the project/product that have a close relation with the development in mathematics and/or CG as well as more expectations on their future.

All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, published as a volume of Mathematics-for-Industry Lecture Notes series, Kyushu University. The best papers will be invited to be included in the MEIS book series published by Springer.
