The Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT) is a high-quality series of symposium that aims to provide a forum to bring together researchers and practitioners who are being involved or are contributing to both the theoretical advances and practical implementations in image and video technology.
 
 
 
PSIVT 2017 is organized by the Central China Normal University Wollongong Joint Institute and National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning (NERCEL), Central China Normal University.

 CALL FOR PAPERS
 ------------------------
 
 
 
The Program Committee of the Eighth PSIVT2017 invites the submission of technical papers for the main technical track of the conference which will be held in Wuhan, China, from November 20th to 24th, 2017. Submissions are invited on significant, original, and previously unpublished research on all aspects of image and video technology. All papers will receive mindful and rigorous reviews. The Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT) has been held seven times. It is a highly referenced conference that will provide authors with useful critical feedback.
 
   PSIVT 2017 provides a forum for who are being involved or are contributing to both the theoretical advances and practical implementations to publish research findings and exchange experiences in related topics.
 
 
 
PSIVT 2017 is seeking high quality submissions in the broad field of image and video technology. The topics of interests include, but are not limited to the following:
 
 
 
    – Imaging and Graphics Hardware and Visualization.
 
    – Image/Video Coding and Transmission.
 
    – Image/Video Processing and Analysis.
 
    – Image/Video Retrieval and Scene Understanding.
 
    – Applications of Image and Video Technology.

    – Biometrics and Image Forensics.
 
    – Computational Photography and Arts.
 
    – Computer and Robot Vision.
 
    – Pattern Recognition.

All papers of the past PSIVT conferences have EI-indexed already. The papers of PSIVT2017 will be published as LNCS and will be EI-indexed. And the extension version of the selected papers will be published on the special issue of SCI journal. .
 
   (notice: Papers must comply with the PSIVT2017 proceedings style (i.e., LNCS format), and have a maximum length of 12 pages with the option of purchasing up to 2 extra pages for US$100 per page. All submissions will be handled electronically via the conference's submission site. (The submission site will not open until May 1.) )
