新学術領域「第5回多元計算解剖学国際シンポジウム」の案内をさせていただきます。

本領域は、今年度が最終年度となっており、個々の研究班の発表のみならず、領域全体の成果を
統合した多元計算解剖学シナリオセッション、領域到達点についてのパネル討論を予定しております。

Nassir Navab 先生 (TUM & JHU)、David Hawkes 先生 (UCL)、Nicholas Ayache 先生 (INRIA) の
特別講演も予定しております。

Robotic Imaging, Machine Learning and Augmented Reality for Computer
Assisted Interventions

講演概要
In this talk, I will present an overview of our most recent
advancements in Robotic Imaging, Machine Leaning and Medical Augmented
Reality. I will first discuss the particular requirements for
intra-operative imaging and visualization. I will then present some of
our latest results in intra-operative multimodal robotic imaging and
its translation to clinical applications. I will then discuss the
impact of research advancement in machine learning on medical imaging
and computer assisted intervention. I will finally present some
applications of virtual and augmented reality in the medical domain.
Starting by the current deployment of AR and VR technology within
medical education, I discuss its current and future impact on surgical
training. I will then review the first deployment of augmented reality
into operating rooms in the last two decades and present some of our
latest achievements in this field. IT

Multidisciplinary Computational Anatomy: Cancer Detection, Surgical
and Interventional Sciences

講演概要
Professor Hawkes has been a member of the scientific advisory board of
the Multidisciplinary Computational Anatomy (MCA) project since its
first meeting in 2015. This has been an extremely interesting and
stimulating experience with exposure to much exciting research within
this broad topic from a diverse group of multi-disciplinary
researchers representing many of the leading research institutes and
universities in Japan. Professor Hawkes congratulates Professor
Hashizume and the other investigators for developing this exciting
programme. In this talk the work in the Centre for Medical Image
Computing at UCL (CMIC) in cancer detection and image guided
interventions will be related to Multidisciplinary Computational
Anatomy. In particular the talk will show how, at UCL, activity has
been pulled together into one Centre combining MCA concepts with
intra-operative imaging, advanced visualisation, surgical robotics,
mechanotronics and nanotechnology, all powered by the latest advances
in artificial intelligence. The presentation will outline the
constructive tension between technological “push” and clinical “pull”
within our the Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical
Sciences (WEISS), and this is exploited. WEISS’s vision for
accelerating clinical translation and commercialising advances in
interventional and surgical sciences will be shared.

AI & Healthcare : Towards a Digital twin?

講演概要
The "Personalized Digital Patient" or "Digital Twin" is a digital
representation of the patient's anatomy and physiology based on models
whose parameters can be learnt automatically from real or simulated
medical images and additional clinical, biological, behavioral, and
environmental data. Advanced algorithms can then use the learnt
parameters to serve the three pillars of digital medicine:
computerized assistance to diagnosis, prognosis and therapy. The
presentation will illustrate these points and insist on the importance
of geometrical, statistical and biophysical modeling of life and
imaging processes.
