I am serving as a Technical Program Co-Chair for IEEE ICME 2020 this year. Please allow me to share one piece of good information.

This year, IEEE ICME 2020 has been decided to be a virtual conference and free registration for all non-authors.

ICME is one of the flagship conferences in multimedia-related research areas, and this year, ICME2020 received over 1000 paper submissions but only 15% of them are accepted as oral presentation. Therefore, it should be a very good opportunity for us to catch up the high-quality papers and the latest research topics and their progress without paying registration fee only this year. If you are interested in this conference, please try to register as soon as possible. It sounds that the number of registrants would be probably limited in case of over capacity. Hope you would enjoy such a big virtual event online.

The IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo (ICME) has been the flagship multimedia conference sponsored by four IEEE societies since 2000. In 2020 again, ICME convenes leading researchers and practitioners to share the latest developments and advances in the discipline. The conference will showcase high quality oral presentations, as well as a number of other activities including 4 keynote talks, 6 tutorials, 12 workshops, additional tracks ¨C demo, industry, student and collaborative projects.

Following the outbreak of COVID-19, the conference will turn to a fully virtual event. Hence, the registration fees will be waived for all non-author registrants who do not cover accepted papers. The total number of registrants may be limited depending on the capacity of the online conferencing system. If this limit is reached, later non-author registrants may be added to the waiting list.

For registrants who have already made registrations that fall under the modified fee categories, a full refund will be reimbursed as soon as possible.
