東京大学の川原先生（mercari R4D所長も兼任）からPRMU関係者向けに
以下の情報をいただきました．本MLにもご興味をお持ちの方は多いと
思いますので，展開させていただきます．

メルカリではNIIを通じて商品画像のデータセットを提供してお
り、ぜひ皆様の研究活動にお役立ていただきたいと思っており、
以下のようなトークイベントを実施予定です。

mercari R4D トークイベントのお知らせ
 (2022/12/22 6pm- @六本木ヒルズまたはオンライン)

株式会社メルカリの研究開発組織「mercari R4D」では、2022年12月22日
（木）18時より、社会課題解決を目指して組織や所属の枠を超えた研究
開発組織のあり方／手法を開拓するために「共創イノベーション
（Co-innovation）」をテーマにしたトークイベントを実施いたします。

R4Dではこれまで、国内外の大学との共同研究や、データセットの公開を
通じて、社会貢献につながる研究開発に取り組んでまいりました。本イベ
ントでは、筑波大学デジタルネイチャー研究開発センター センター長の
落合陽一氏と大阪大学 社会技術共創研究センターセンター長の岸本充生氏を
ゲストにお迎えし、Co-innovationのハードルと乗り越える仕掛けを明らかに
することで、Co-innovation時代において研究者が果たす役割や、研究者が
活躍できる社会・環境づくりについて探索します。

他にも、R4Dの研究内容をリサーチャー自ら発表するライトニングトークや、
mercari R4Dと東京大学との共同研究で生まれた、インフレータブル構造で
作られた新しい電動モビリティ「poimo」の展示を実施いたします。

mercari R4D, the research and development organization of Mercari,
Inc. will host a panel session on the subject of “Co-innovation” to
explore the ways/methods beyond the organizational and affiliation
boundaries in order to solve social issues. The event will start at
6:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
R4D has been engaged in research and development that contributes to
society through joint research with universities in Japan and
overseas, and disclosing dataset.
In this event, we will have Dr. Yoichi Ochiai, Director of Strategic
Platform for Digital Nature at the University of Tsukuba, and Dr.
Atsuo Kishimoto, Director of the Research Center on Ethical, Legal and
Social Issues, Osaka University as guests to clarify a bar of
Co-innovation and mechanism to get over it, and explore the role of
researchers in the Co-innovation era and how to build the
world/environment where researcher can thrive.
In addition, lightning talks in which researcher will present their
research, and the showcase of “poimo,” a new electric mobility made
with inflatable structure, will take place.
