農工大の堀田と申します．第17回画像の認識・理解シンポジウム
（2014年7月28日(月) 〜 7月31日(木)，於岡山コンベンションセンター）
の査読付発表の締切(3月3日)まで，あと2週間となりました．
多数のご投稿をお待ち申し上げております．

日程：2014年7月28日(月) 〜 7月31日(木)

今回で17回目を迎える画像の認識・理解シンポジウム（MIRU）は，
画像の認識と理解技術に関する国内最大規模の会議であり，基礎から
応用まで最新の研究発表と討論の場として，また，研究者，技術者，
そして次世代を担う学生の交流の場として，毎回大変多くの方々に
ご参加いただいています．昨年のMIRU2013からは議論の更なる活発化
と国内研究コミュニティーの国際化を目指し，発表方針に関して改革
を行いました．MIRU2014もその方針を踏襲しております．詳しくは

The 17th Meeting on Image Recognition and Understanding
(MIRU2014) will be held on July 28-31, OKAYAMA CONVENTION
CENTER, Japan. MIRU2014 is organized to give researchers an
opportunity of discussion based on recent advances in the fields
of foundation and application of image recognition and understanding.

■募集する発表の種類

【査読付発表 (Refereed presentation)】

 査読の結果，優秀なものはオーラルセッションでの発表となり，発表概要
（和文もしくは英文2ページ）が MIRU2014 Extended Abstract集に掲載され
ます．また，この査読は，連携する英文論文誌「IPSJ Transactions on
Computer Vision and Applications (CVA)」の Express Paper としての査読
を兼ねて行われており，査読において同誌に採録可能と判断された投稿は，
MIRU から同誌に対してExpress Paperとしての掲載の推薦が行われます（この
推薦によりCVAに掲載される場合，掲載料および英文校正代の著者負担はあり
ません）．なお，MIRU のオーラルセッションでの発表の採否とCVA Express
Paperへの推薦の有無は別のもので，それらが一致するとは限りません．
また，CVAへの掲載は辞退することも可能です． オーラルセッションでの発表
とならなかった投稿はインタラクティブセッションでの発表となります．この
場合，発表概要（和文もしくは英文，2ページまたは4ページ）が MIRU2014
Extended Abstract集に掲載されます．

Accepted researches will be presented at an oral session. Summary of
their researches will be published on the MIRU2014 Extended Abstract
(2 pages, in Japanese or English). Note that some of selected
researches will be published on IPSJ Transactions on Computer Vision
and Applications (CVA) as an Express Paper with free of charge (The
authors can decline to publish their work on the CVA journal). While
rejected researches will be scheduled to present at an interactive
poster session. In this case, summary of their researches will be
published on the MIRU2014 Extended Abstract (2 pages or 4 pages,
in Japanese or English).


【一般発表 (General Presentation)】
 インタラクティブセッションでの発表となり，発表概要（和文もしくは
英文２ページ）がMIRU2014 Extended Abstract集に掲載されます．
All general presentation will be scheduled to present at an
interactive poster session. Summary of your research will be published
on the MIRU2014 Extended Abstract (up to 2 pages).

【デモ発表 (Demo Presentation)】
　デモセッションでの発表となり，発表概要（和文もしくは英文２ページ）が
MIRU2014 Extended Abstract集に掲載されます．

All demo presentation will be scheduled to present at a demo session.
Summary of your demo will be published on the MIRU2014 Extended
Abstract (up to 2 pages).
