九州大学の有村です．

2014年6月のMI研究会について，下記の通りご案内いたします．
今回は韓国の医用画像関係の研究者との合同研究会で，テーマは「日韓合同医用
画像研究会（英語発表）」です．すべて英語で発表と質疑を行う予定です．演題
申し込み，技術報告，発表も英語となります．英語発表が未経験の学生の皆様に
とって非常に良い機会だと思います．また，日本と韓国からの特別講演も企画し
ています．さらに，見学会は，九州大学人体・病理ミュージアム*の見学を企画
しています．多数のご投稿をお待ちしております．
（*病理学教室が100年の時間をかけて収集した1300の肉眼標本の中から、医学的
に重要かつ希少性の高い標本をセレクト、更に最近の興味深い標本を追加して系
統的に約160点展示している）

Call for Papers for the 2nd meeting in 2014 of Medical Imaging Technical
Group (2nd MI-ken 2014) of Institute of Electronics, Information and
Communication Engineers (IEICE)
---------------------------------------

The second meeting in 2014 of Medical Imaging Technical Group (2nd
MI-ken 2014) of Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication
Engineers (IEICE) will be held at the Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan,
on June 24, 2014.
The 2nd MI-ken 2014 attracts scientists, engineers, and clinicians on
interdisciplinary fields associated with Medical Imaging. Topics
discussed at the 2nd MI-ken 2014 include, but are not limited to

•Medical image processing
•Computational anatomy
•Biological image computing
•Neuroscience image computing
•Computer-assisted surgery
•Computer-assisted radiation therapy
•Imaging and analysis methods for image guided therapies
•Computer interfaces using virtual/mixed/augmented reality
•Computer-aided modeling and evaluation of surgical procedures
•Visualization and interaction
•Medical robots
•Novel surgical devices and sensors
•Surgical and interventional systems

Presentation : Oral (If the number of submitted paper is more than
expected, poster presentation might be held)

Camera ready paper submission deadline : May 9 (Fri)
(Authors will be required to submit papers written in English of not
more than six (6) pages, which will be published as IEICE Technical
Reports. Paper submission guideline will be sent to authors from the
IEICE office after April 7th.)

Registration : Free (The proceeding is not free of charge)

Review : no

Note : Special lectures of a Korean researcher and a Japanese researcher
are planned in the meeting. In addition, special tour of the Kyushu
University Museum of Human Pathology (see the picture of the CFP) is
planned at the end of the meeting.
