ステム等のトピックを幅広く扱っていますので,まだジャーナル化されていない
手頃の成果をお持ちの方は,ぜひ前向きにご検討頂けたら幸いです.

IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems 
 
― Special Section on Data Engineering and Information Management ― 
 submit by June 26(extended), 2019 (JST); published in May 2020
 
The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE)
announces a forthcoming special section on “Data Engineering and Information
Management”, which is published in Transactions on Information and Systems[*].
We invite submissions of original and unpublished papers in the field of wide
range of the title. 
 
1. Scope 

  Original papers on both theoretical and practical data engineering and
  information management, and its related research are welcome to this special
  section. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following:

  - Data Engineering: file structure, storage, query processing, query
    languages, transaction processing, data model, cloud computing, distributed
    and parallel databases, P2P system, multimedia databases, spatial and
    temporal databases, mobile databases, sensor databases, data warehouse,
    OLAP, data mining, XML and semi-structured databases, stream processing,
    smart computing for big data, infrastructure and platform for smart
    computing, smart devices for big data, mobile communications and networks.

  - Information Management: crowd sourcing, meta-data, semantic Web, information
    and data broadcasting, e-commerce, e-learning, security and privacy,
    contents technologies, Web services, information retrieval and extraction,
    summarization, digital libraries, data archive, visualization, user
    interfaces, recommendation, personalization, graph management, social
    networks, data integration, probabilistic database, GIS, scientific
    databases, big data applications, big data analytics and social media.

  Papers whose topic are far from data engineering and information management
  may be rejected without review. This special section does not accept SURVEY
  papers. 
 
2. Submission Guidelines

  - A manuscript should be prepared according to the guideline
    (http://www.ieice.org/eng/shiori/mokuji_iss.html). We encourage the authors
    to use the IEICE Style File (http://www.ieice.org/ftp/index-e.html). The
    standard number of pages is 8 for a PAPER and 2 for a LETTER with the format
    determined by the IEICE Style File. The maximum number of pages for the
    initial submission of a LETTER is 4.

  - Submit the manuscript and transfer the copyright to the IEICE through the
    IEICE Web site (https://review.ieice.org/regist/regist_baseinfo_e.aspx).
    Choose “[Special-DA] Data Engineering and Information Management” in the
    menu of " Journal/Section " in the submission page.

  - Submission deadline of the manuscript is June 26 (extended), 2019 JST (firm)
 
3. Notice to the Authors

  - Upon accepted for publication, all authors, including authors of invited
    papers, should pay the page charges covering partial cost of publication
    around January 2020. If payment is not completed by 15 February, 2020 your
    manuscript will be handled as rejection. 

  - The standard period of 60 days between the notification (of conditional
    accept) and the second submission can be shortened according as the review
    schedule. 

  - At least one of the authors must be an IEICE member when the manuscript is
    submitted for review. Invited papers are an exception. We recommend authors
    unaffiliated with IEICE to apply for the membership.

(Edition: Engineering, Computing and Technology), ISI Alerting Services, and
CompuMath Citation Index.
[*] The IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems will be offered a trial
basis option which can make the papers open access if authors pay an additional
charge on top of the usual page charge. For the detail, please refer to the
Information for Authors of each IEICE Transactions. Note that open access option
is still in the pre-trial stage, and it may be changed without notice.
