Tenure Track Associate Professor or Tenure Track Assistant Professor

1.	Position:
Tenure Track Associate Professor or 
Tenure Track Assistant Professor

2.	Employment status:
A full-time tenure track associate professor (non-tenured, in principle, 5-year term) or
A full-time tenure track assistant professor (non-tenured, in principle, 5-year term)
* Outline for the standard in making decision on the approval of academic tenure.
(1) Research achievement in the concerned field is outstanding in both domestic and international research communities.
(2) Appropriately planned research is sufficiently achieved.
(3) Sufficient competitive research funding is obtained.
(4) Educational achievement for students (research guidance and lecture) is outstanding.

4.	Field of specification:
The candidate should have expertise in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer vision, Mobile robot, etc., and can carry out research activities related to autonomous vehicles. The candidate should conduct public road demonstration experiments of autonomous vehicle and activities toward its social implementation in collaboration with researchers belonging to advance mobility research institute.

5.	Education:
(1)	School of Frontier Engineering, College of Science and Engineering, Kanazawa University 
(2)	Division of Frontier Engineering (Master’s Program), Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Kanazawa University 
(3)	Division of Mechanical Science and Engineering (Doctoral Program), Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Kanazawa University, in case of tenure track associate professor

6.	Subject responsible for:
Lecture and experiment on subjects related to the above specialized fields in undergraduate and graduate schools.

7.	Compensation:
Annual salary system is applied.

8.	Qualification requirements
(1)	The candidate should be a researcher with a doctoral degree at the time of arrival.
(2)	The candidate should have enthusiasm for education and research.
(3)	The candidate should take a progressive approach to collaboration with industries and universities.
(4)	The candidate should have sufficient communication skill in both English and Japanese.
(5)	The candidate should have Japanese driver’s license and no limitation about day-to-day driving. 
(The candidate will operate experimental vehicles at public road and test course.)

April 1st, 2023, or any early possible date afterwards.
