Announcement of Faculty Position

Assistant Professor (Application deadline: December 27th, 2022)

1.	Position:
Assistant Professor (Fixed-term contract) 

2.	Employment status:
Full-time, fixed-term contract.
Term of office: Until March 31, 2027

4.	Field of specification:
The candidate should have expertise in fields such as Mobile robot, Artificial Intelligence, Computer vision, etc., and can carry out research activities related to autonomous vehicles. The candidate should conduct public road demonstration experiments of autonomous vehicle and activities toward its social implementation in collaboration with researchers belonging to advance mobility research institute.

6.	Qualification requirements
(1)	The candidate should be a researcher with a doctoral degree at the time of arrival.
(2)	The candidate should have enthusiasm for education and research.
(3)	The candidate should take a progressive approach to collaboration with industries and universities.
(4)	The candidate should have sufficient communication skill in both English and Japanese.
(5)	The candidate should have Japanese driver’s license and no limitation about day-to-day driving. 
(The candidate will operate experimental vehicles at public road and test course.)

7.	Arrival date:
April 1st, 2023, or any early possible date afterwards.

(2)	Research performance. (Research papers, proceedings of international conference, keynote lectures, published works, reports, patent, etc.)
(3)	Research activities, education activities, and conference and social activities.
(4)	Research grants acquired.
(5)	Aspirations for education and research. (up to one page of A4 paper)
(6)	Hard copies of the 3 most important papers.
(7)	Summary of your research and educational activities to date. (up to one page of A4 paper)
(8)	A hard copy of a Japanese driver’s license.

10.	Selection process:
Candidates who pass document screening will be interviewed in the selection process.
